Nasolabial folds, often referred to as ‘smile lines’, are the deep creases running from either side of the nose down towards the corners of the mouth. As we age these creases naturally become more noticeable. However, with the use of dermal filler we are able to restore the lost volume, stimulate collagen production and attract moisture to the treated area – leaving you with a softened, refreshed face.

It’s difficult to tell from the photos but this really has been our favourite lip correction to date! This patient presented to us with filler migration – all the filler was above the white lip border, rather than the pink lip itself. We first dissolved the previous filler, then refilled 2 weeks later with 0.7ml of premium product. We will add volume in 4 weeks time – it is a process not a procedure after all!

What causes a Gummy Smile? How to improve the look of a gummy smile?

One of the common factors is an abnormal eruption of the teeth. Teeth covered by excessive gum tissue appear short, even though they may be the correct length. Secondly, the muscle that controls the movement of your upper lip could be hyperactive causing your upper lip to rise higher than normal. When this occurs, more of your gum tissue is exposed when you smile.

BOTOX – To reduce high pulling effect, which lets the upper lip better rest over the gum tissue.
